UAS Training System - for UAVs

The Advanced UAS Training System is a training and tracking tool that allows UAS pilots to receive FAA required training over the internet.  Once the training is complete, the program tracks the information and launches the testing tool that requires the student to pass before completing the program.  Proficiency data for each student is captured and disseminated in the reporting tool which allows the training manager to view each student’s performance.  The tool also tracks the certification of each student along with all scores stored in a database.  A complete training manual guides the student through each step allowing them to complete the training at their own pace. 

Benefit to the warfighter:  For operations in the United States, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) requires that operators utilize a Certificate Of Authorization (COA).  For a COA to be approved, each operator must receive extensive training that meets FAA requirements.  The Advanced UAS Training On-Line has been reviewed by the FAA and meets the COA requirement.  The tool tracks performance of each student and all training and testing criteria.  This allows an operator to ensure each pilot has met the requirements and is current for the mission.  The data also captures background experience for each student to provide a better understating of entrance requirements for successful UAS training and operations.

TSI has worked closely with TC Solutions of Minnesota, who developed the instructional content of the UAS Training Systems.  TC Solutions has excellent capabilities and knowledge of the UAS and FAA domains.  TSI’s partnership with TC Solutions is an excellent example of how we work synergistically with our partners to meet both national and corporate objectives.
