EOD Applications

EODMU-1 (formerly NSCT-1) uses ARVCOP and ARVCOP-MPS to support a range of missions performed using 11 meter RHIBs.  These craft have bother Operator and Navigator Stations, and are linked to HQ where an additional command station is placed.

ARVCOP Operator Station

The ARVCOP Operator Station consists of a Computer, GPS Compass, Image Sensor, Display, and User Interface.  This station provide the core functionality of an Electronic Chart System (ECS), plus overlays navigational information on live video as provided from the Image Sensor, which may be thermal or standard video.  This system interfaces to the Navigator’s system, accepting mission data and providing real-time data for use by the navigator.

ARVCOP-MPS (Mission Planning and Support) Navigator Station

The ARVCOP-MPS station is used primarily by the vessel navigator, and is the primary user interface for the control of information flow between the vessel operator and all external systems (COIN, HQ, etc.). This system include the functionality of ARVCOP plus:

  • The ability to accept and modify routes independent of the ARVCOP system.
  • Interoperability with other on-board UUV and UAV systems
  • Provides a Real Time Position Interface for tracking team assets
  • Provides capability to capture geo-referenced ARVCOP video screenshots or snippets
  • Supports direct real-time video feeds from UAV video feeds
ARVCOP-MPS Command Application

This capability is used on a PC located wherever command functions are performed.  The command application interfaces to other tactical systems (such as MEDAL) and functions as a standalone repository and management system for vessel-based ARVCOP-MPS and ARVCOP systems.
